ABOUT THE JOB
We are on the lookout for an exceptional Senior Manager, Accounting to accelerate and streamline the month-end close process by optimizing manual workflows for automation, refining purchase order management for auto-closure and accruals, and enhancing operational efficiency through the development of Foundry dashboards, and other technology, to monitor and report key metrics and SLAs.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage the acceleration of the month-end close process by evaluating current manual procedures, pinpointing areas for automation and standardization, implementing cutting-edge solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage purchase order and P&L trend analysis, devising and applying logic for automated closures and accur`ate accruals.
- Design and deploy Foundry dashboards, and other technology, to monitor KPIs, operating metrics, and SLAs, providing weekly and real-time reporting to enhance decision-making and uphold transparency with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Foster productive relationships with various departments to identify and channel continuous improvement opportunities in line with key tenets: digitalization, scale, and standardization/simplification.
- Support M&A activities by aiding in the integration of accounting functions from acquired businesses and enhancing the onboarding process.
- Contribute to team leadership by motivating, coaching, training, and mentoring team members to embrace a culture of continuous improvement.
- Serve as a backfill for critical responsibilities within the accounting department, ensuring continuity and stability as needed.
- Assist with Anduril’s possible preparation for a future IPO and ERP implementation.
- Support the external audit process with PwC.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with prior experience as an Accounting Senior Manager, Assistant Controller, or Controller.
- Healthy mix of technical and operational accounting preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in leading process improvement and optimization initiatives within accounting or finance.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a high growth organization.
- Prior experience in companies that are tech or advanced manufacturing.
- CPA certification (Active or Inactive), or current CPA candidacy, and/or an MBA is preferred.
- Able to get hands dirty to drive organizational change while also maintaining an ability to manage up against strategic priorities/reporting.
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
