By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

Senior Deployment Engineer Manager

Anduril’s Deployment Operations group is seeking a Senior Deployment Engineering Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead and manage a team of deployment engineers to ensure the success and reliability of Anduril's fielded products.

You will focus on the reliability, availability, and performance of force protection sensor suites, UAVs, and ground-based air defense systems globally. By bridging the gap between development and operations, you will combine software engineering principles with operational expertise to automate tasks, manage incidents, and enhance system stability.

You will collaborate closely with other engineering and operations groups to continually improve and maintain these critical systems. Your responsibilities will include debugging, real-time response, rapid resolution, and root causing complex issues on electro-mechanical systems. You will shape product design changes and software updates based on lessons learned from support efforts.

In addition to supporting existing customer solutions, you will work with business development and contracting teams to scope and shape prospective deployments, leveraging your deep understanding of Anduril’s product capabilities to craft tailored solutions that meet customer requirements.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide remote support to field operations groups as they install, operate and maintain Anduril’s products
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware & software issues, driving short term resolution and identifying long term solutions
  • Work closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure systems are designed and built with reliability in mind
  • Drive continuous product improvement by leading post-mortem events involving engineering stakeholders
  • Set up and maintain monitoring systems to track system health and performance and define alerts to notify them of potential issues
  • Build out data and telemetry infrastructure to monitor systems real time and consolidate fleet metrics
  • Compile technical documentation to support customers, filed operations, and engineering
  • Travel to customer sites (<50%) to support product delivery, evaluation, and sustainment
  • Develop and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
  • Lead team meetings and project reviews to ensure alignment and progress towards goals
  • Coordinate with senior management to align deployment strategies with organizational objectives

Required Qualifications

  • Proven track record of managing and leading engineering teams, with a focus on deployment and operational success
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans to optimize team performance and project outcomes
  • Strong skills in working with diverse teams across engineering, operations, and business development to drive initiatives and achieve goals
  • Proven ability to master complex technical systems and support them in operational environments with self-sufficiency across varied technologies
  • Strong skills in navigating unstructured hardware, software, and networking challenges; adept at driving ambiguous issues to clarity with data-driven root cause analyses
  • Demonstrated experience in on-call support within production environments with limited risk tolerance, reliably troubleshooting and maintaining systems
  • Proficiency in Linux and robotic systems, with strong command-line skills for extracting and manipulating data from software platforms
  • Experience with cloud-based databases, telemetry visualization platforms, and building dashboards; skilled in creating system metrics and leveraging analytics for performance improvements
  • Proven capability to integrate disparate telemetry, operational, and cloud data sources to generate actionable insights, fleet metrics, and reporting systems for continuous improvements
  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills; proven ability to gather requirements and collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, product management, and customer support
  • U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export-controlled data
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance
