ABOUT THE JOB
A hybrid onsite and remote role, responsible for the development and implementation of sustainability programs across a company based in California with operations worldwide. This role will develop, implement and report on initiatives that drive measurable reductions in environmental impact, ensure compliance with state and federal sustainability regulations, and advance our corporate responsibility goals.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop and maintain Anduril’s greenhouse gas inventory, and inventory management plan, for Scopes 1, 2 and 3, including annual data collection, third-party validation, and working with Communications to develop relevant reports for external stakeholders, including regulators, investors, and other interested parties
- Conduct a materiality assessment to identify and prioritize key ESG issues that are critical to Anduril’s business and stakeholders
- Working with Supply Chain, assess Anduril’s suppliers for sustainability performance and opportunities to influence suppliers in areas of sustainability.
- Assist with Life Cycle Assessments to determine the environmental impacts of Anduril’s products and services, and provide proposal support
- Develop and execute sustainability strategies focused on energy efficiency, waste reduction, water conservation, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and circular economy initiatives
- Partner with operations, facilities and senior leaders to identify and implement environmental improvements and resource conservation projects
- Lead or support sustainability-related certifications and audits
- Lead employee engagement and communication initiatives to build awareness and participation in sustainability programs
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience implementing and overseeing sustainability programs
- Deep understanding of California’s environmental and climate policies, including decarbonization, waste reduction and energy efficiency programs
- Experience with reporting requirements for common ESG reporting frameworks, including: the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), and the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). Familiarity with mandatory reporting frameworks, including the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), and California’s Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act and Climate-Related Financial Risk Act.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, effective at engaging with leadership, regulators, front-line staff, and third-party partners
- Knowledge of upcoming requirements under California-specific regulations such as SB 253 and SB 261
- Capability to manage multiple activities/projects and deadlines
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Collaborative individual who is most comfortable working in a team environment on a shared task.
- Very strong technical writing skills
- Willingness to travel (25%)
