The Software Platform team builds Lattice, the foundation for everything we do as a defense technology company. Our teams work on a large variety of strategic topics, ranging from core infrastructure to distributed systems, web development, networking and more. ABOUT THE JOB
As a Senior Financial Analyst on the Software Platform team, you’ll partner with the Platform leadership team to own all financial aspects of the Platform. In this role, you’ll not only be the voice of financial health, you’ll also have an opportunity to influence how the Platform’s success is tracked and measured. You should be as comfortable supporting and explaining financial performance and variance analysis to cross functional teams and senior leadership as you are defining operating models that align incentives cross-company. We’re building our systems and processes from the ground up, and you will play a critical role in shaping them.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own the financial health of a portfolio of initiatives from budgeting and forecasting to analyzing actuals and recommending operational changes
- Serve as a thought partner to Platform engineering leaders by offering insights and making recommendations on how to measure and improve the performance of the Platform
- Get deep in the operations and support the team in creating bottoms-up, data-driven models to understand the financial returns of our platform investments
- Lead monthly, quarterly, annual, long range forecasting and analysis across OPEX and CAPEX and facilitate review discussions to dive into the impacts of the data
- Support strategic software pricing activities
- Creation of reports and automated dashboards in FP&A and ERP tools (Oracle, Anaplan, and Foundry)
- Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting tools, systems and procedures
- Creatively and scrappily solve problems where there is no right or wrong answer
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 to 6 years experience in a finance role at a high-growth technology company, investment banking, or consulting
- Intellectually curious - you seek to understand the why behind the numbers and dive into the operations as needed
- Creative problem-solver - able to identify obstacles, present viable solutions, and create systems to improve future processes
- Results-oriented - you will do whatever it takes to ensure success. You ground your contributions in real customer and business impact and prioritize your time to maximize speed-to-impact.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills. You drive consensus through grounded arguments, interpersonal skills, and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
- Preferred to have DoD and/or Tech industry experience
- Strong financial modeling skills (Excel, Google Sheets)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
