Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

Anduril Industries is seeking a highly motivated Staff Test and Evaluation Engineer to lead critical test campaigns for our Connected Warfare Systems—Eagle Eye, the Army’s Next Generation Command & Control (NGC2) system, Menace of Family of Systems, and related cutting-edge products. In this role, you'll work hand-in-hand with cross-functional engineering teams and government stakeholders to plan, coordinate, execute, and report on developmental and operational tests across our suite of software and hardware systems.

Overview

  • Lead Team Efforts: Mentor and guide a team of test engineers through the entire test lifecycle.
  • Own End-to-End Testing: Manage integration tests in lab-based, hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) environments as well as conduct field validation testing at external ranges and austere sites.
  • Drive Innovation: Shape test strategies and ensure that our systems consistently meet stringent DoD standards, ultimately delivering decisive performance advantages to the warfighter.

What You’ll Do

Test Campaign Management:

  • Plan, execute, and report on comprehensive test campaigns for Eagle Eye and additional Connected Warfare products.
  • Oversee tests ranging from system integration and developmental events to operational assessments and customer acceptance.

Verification Strategy:

  • Define and manage requirements-based, scenario-driven, and operationally relevant test methods.
  • Incorporate customer-required standards and metrics to validate performance and ensure traceability from requirements through verification and validation.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

  • Collaborate with Program Management, Engineering, SEIT, external test ranges, and government partners.
  • Oversee Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), manage test incidents, and track deficiencies effectively.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Supervise data analysis related to system performance in both lab and field settings.
  • Establish measurable test coverage metrics and deliver formal test reports that drive actionable insight and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Represent your team at customer reviews, readiness boards, and milestone decision points.
  • Ensure all test campaigns are executed safely and in strict compliance with industry and DoD protocols.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Electrical, or Computer Engineering (or a related technical discipline). Advanced degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

Experience:

  • 12+ years of system-level test and evaluation of integrated hardware/software systems.
  • At least 5+ years in a technical leadership or test lead capacity, owning significant portions of test programs.
  • Hands-on experience with developmental and operational test events in both laboratory and field environments.

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong background in requirements development, test planning, verification/validation, and traceability management.
  • Familiarity with RF communications, tactical datalinks, and networked C2 systems in DoD operational environments.
  • Proficiency in test metrics definition and reporting (e.g., test coverage %, requirements verification %, defect closure rates).

Interpersonal & Communication Skills:

  • Excellent leadership, written, and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven aptitude for briefing senior stakeholders in both internal and external settings.

Travel & Clearance:

  • Ability to travel up to 50% for test execution at ranges and field sites.
  • Active or immediately eligible for a U.S. Secret security clearance.

If you’re ready to leverage your test expertise in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment and ensure that Eagle Eye and our Connected Warfare Systems deliver decisive warfighter capabilities, we want to hear from you. Join Anduril Industries and be a part of our groundbreaking defense innovation.
