Business Development Representative Manager
BusRight
Access to education starts with a safe, reliable ride to school. That’s why we built BusRight, a technology platform trusted by over 100,000 Transportation Directors, Drivers, and Parents across 35 states to make school transportation safer, smarter, and more equitable. We’re a remote team of 70+ "BusRighters" with hubs in New York City, Boston, Poland, and Austin, all working together to make the yellow school bus a symbol of safety and connectedness.
Following a $23M fundraise and over 100% year over year growth, BusRight is hiring our first remote Business Development Representative (BDR) Manager to lead and scale a team already driving a third of BusRight’s revenue and help expand BusRight to millions of transportation leaders, bus drivers, and families nationwide.
Transportation Directors, our customers, are some of the most genuine and grounded people you’ll meet. They have powerful stories and care deeply about the impact they make in their communities. The BDR team is often their first interaction with BusRight, building trust and real relationships at scale in a market that values authentic human connection.
This role includes time in the field at state conferences and regional transportation events, where you’ll join sellers in meeting prospects and bringing BusRight’s mission to life. If you’ve led outbound teams, obsess over developing high performers, and are passionate about building something meaningful in a fast paced environment, you’ll thrive at BusRight. This is a remote role with a preference for candidates in the Central or Eastern regions.
Why this Role is Unique
You won’t just have a seat at the table, you’ll help set it. This role is built for a leader who thrives on delivering magical hospitality with every outbound engagement, and who is fueled by helping others reach their full potential. Our BDRs don’t simply hand off meetings; they form genuine relationships with transportation leaders on the phone, at trade shows, and at private dinners at regional meetings. With 100%+ growth projected in 2026, you’ll build and scale a team that understands the importance of selling outcomes over features, starts by understanding vs. being understood, and creates a feeling of hope in an industry navigating severe challenges.
- Join early and grow fast: You’ll step into a fast growing company fresh off a $23M fundraise, with competitive compensation across equity, base salary, and commission. This is a rare chance to have your fingerprints all over how BusRight scales its go to market (GTM) engine.
- Collaborate across the company: You’ll work closely with Sales, Marketing, Enablement, and Revenue Operations to level up productivity, refine playbooks, and fuel BusRight’s growth flywheel.
- Create something lasting: 2026 (and beyond) brings major expansion and investment across the company, and this is your chance to leave a legacy. You’ll build a team that balances heart and hustle, leading a motion rooted in connection, consistency, and curiosity.
- Shape the foundation: As BusRight’s first BDR Manager, you’ll define what world class looks like. You’ll set strategy, hire and develop top talent, build an outbound process from the ground up, and create the culture that fuels how we partner with transportation leaders across the country.
What You’ll Do
You'll lead a BDR team that connects with student transportation leaders across the U.S. to book demos for Account Executives. You’ll work alongside our sales team during a pivotal time for our GTM strategy, where you'll create, influence, and execute new ideas to fuel top of funnel growth.
- Lead, coach, and grow a team of ~8 BDRs (and beyond) who connect daily with student transportation leaders who keep the wheels on the bus going round and round :)
- Build and refine our hub and spoke outreach strategies that prioritize trust, community, and meaningful engagement over volume.
- Create coaching rhythms that raise the bar on outreach quality through call reviews, messaging feedback, and thoughtful territory planning alongside Account Executives.
- Partner with Sales Enablement and Revenue Operations to sharpen playbooks, training, reporting, and KPIs that make the team smarter and more impactful.
- Hire, develop, and inspire future BDRs while shaping a culture defined by curiosity, accountability, and real human connection.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- 3+ years of experience leading high-performing BDR or SDR teams. This isn’t a first time manager role, you know how to coach, inspire, and deliver results. Experience in K12 is a plus, but not required.
- Comfort building structure in a fast paced environment, whether that’s refining scorecards, creating playbooks, or designing coaching frameworks that resonate.
- Proficiency with tools such as Salesforce, Slack, Google Workspace, SalesLoft, and Gong.
- A collaborative mindset and strong partnership skills, especially with AEs and cross functional teams like Marketing, Enablement, and Revenue Operations.
- Experience supporting remote and region-based sales teams, and a love for joining field events and conferences where real connections happen.
- A self-driven, high-integrity approach that thrives in a remote setting and aligns with BusRight’s values of Trust, Build Without Walls, Fuel Others, and Customer Advocacy.
This is a chance to join a fast growing technology company early, lead boldly, and make your mark on a team that’s transforming how millions of students access their education every day. If you’re energized by growth and are driven by relationships, we’d love to hear from you.
