About This Role:
Crusoe is seeking an experienced and proactive Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Manager to join our expanding team and champion safety across our Data Center construction projects portfolio. Based at our office in Dallas, TX, with travel to additional locations, you'll be an integral member of the Digital Infrastructure Group safety team. Your deep technical safety knowledge, especially in mission critical builds, steel erection, electrical and mechanical safety, will be crucial. We're looking for someone who can effectively communicate across all levels of the organization, continuously assess and mitigate risks, and foster a robust safety culture. This is a full-time position where your expertise will directly contribute to the efficiency and well-being of our critical power infrastructure.
What You’ll Be Working On:
Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $136,000 -$165,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicants knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

What You’ll Be Working On:
- Risk Partnership & Action Planning: Partner closely with the Digital Infrastructure Group director of safety and overall DIG safety team to understand operational risks and develop concrete action plans to effectively address them.
- HSE Culture Development: Cultivate a high level of HSE awareness and a strong safety culture through consistent communications, targeted training, and promotion of active involvement in all HSE programs.
- Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct thorough assessments of worker risks and provide actionable recommendations to reduce exposure and enhance safety.
- Procedure & Process Implementation: Develop and implement various HSE processes, procedures, work instructions, and checklists, ensuring clear guidelines for safe operations.
- Compliance Monitoring & Reporting: Actively monitor compliance with all relevant regulations, internal policies, and established procedures, and regularly report on HSE objectives and key metrics.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise effectively with contractors, clients, and regulatory agencies regarding HSE issues, ensuring transparent and constructive communication.
- Audit & Assessment Support: Plan and actively assist with compliance audits and assessments, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Incident Investigation & Analysis: Facilitate thorough incident investigations and lead root cause analysis efforts following any failures, incidents, or accidents to prevent recurrence.
- Corrective Action Follow-Up: Actively monitor and follow up on the status of corrective actions, reports, and audit findings, ensuring timely completion and effectiveness.
- HSE Training & Development: Coordinate and actively participate in the HSE training of all personnel, enhancing their safety knowledge and practices.
- Regulatory Awareness: Maintain continuous awareness of new HSE requirements and manage their integration into existing systems and practices accordingly.
- Documentation Management: Ensure that all relevant HSE documentation is meticulously maintained and readily available at all worksites.
- Operational Group Support: Provide HSE support to other operational groups and projects as necessary, demonstrating flexibility and a broad commitment to safety.
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of relevant industry experience, with a strong preference for backgrounds in data center construction, Oil and Gas, commercial construction, heavy civil, or other mission critical operations.
- HSE Regulatory Knowledge: Possess deep technical knowledge of various HSE rules and regulations at both the Federal and State levels, ensuring comprehensive compliance.
- Direct Implementation Experience: Proven direct experience with the practical implementation of HSE rules, regulations, policies, and procedures in an operational environment.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective interaction across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
- Excellent Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills for documentation, reporting, and utilizing HSE management systems.
- Legal Work Authorization: Must be able to legally work and reside in the US without requiring sponsorship.
- Safety and Compliance: This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required.
- University degree in a related field (e.g., Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering).
- Specific expertise in steel erection, electrical/mechanical safety (NFPA 70E), and earthwork.
- Certifications such as CSP, ASP or CHST
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth company environment.
