Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.

We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.

We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.

If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.

About the Role:

Crusoe's Finance team is looking for a Director to serve as the embedded finance partner to our Power Production and Energy organization. Crusoe's data centers are powered by a mix of on-site generation, stranded and flared gas, and grid and renewable power purchase agreements — and this role owns the financial lens on how those power sources are sourced, priced, and delivered. You'll partner closely with Power Generation, Energy, and Data Center Operations teams to model plant and fuel economics, evaluate power purchase agreements, and make sure capital deployed into generation and energy infrastructure is delivering the returns the business needs. This is a highly cross-functional role for someone who wants to bring finance discipline to the energy side of an AI infrastructure company.

What You'll Be Working On:

  • Power Generation Economics: partner with the Power Production team to model levelized cost of energy (LCOE), plant utilization, and unit economics across on-site generation assets

  • PPA & Offtake Evaluation: financially model and evaluate power purchase agreements, interconnection arrangements, and offtake contracts, working with Legal and Energy teams on deal structuring

  • Capital Planning for Energy Infrastructure: partner on capital planning and investment cases for new generation, transmission, and energy storage projects, tracking returns against underwriting assumptions

  • FP&A: associated with all power generation and energy, ensure it is reflected appropriately in close, forecast, budget and long-range planning

  • Energy Market Analysis: monitor wholesale power and natural gas market trends, and translate market movements into financial impact and planning assumptions for leadership

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: act as the connective tissue between Power Production, Data Center Operations, and corporate FP&A, ensuring power supply plans and compute demand forecasts stay aligned

  • Regulatory & Incentive Tracking: evaluate the financial impact of energy tax credits, environmental regulations, and policy changes on generation economics and project returns

What You'll Bring to the Team:

  • 8+ years of finance experience, including meaningful time supporting a power generation, energy, or utilities business

  • Strong understanding of power and energy economics — LCOE, capacity factors, fuel cost pass-through, and power purchase agreement structures

  • Advanced financial modeling skills, comfortable building project finance or asset-level models from scratch

  • Experience evaluating capital projects and partnering with technical teams (engineering, operations) to underwrite investment decisions

  • Familiarity with energy market dynamics, including wholesale power pricing and natural gas markets

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical energy concepts into clear financial narratives for leadership

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA a plus

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation and equity packages

  • Restricted Stock Units

  • Paid time off, paid holidays & leave of absence programs

  • Comprehensive health, dental & vision insurance

  • Employer contributions to HSA account

  • Paid parental leave

  • Paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability

  • Additional perks & programs specific to location

Compensation Range

Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $235,000-$275,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant's knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
