Joining the Mission Operations department, you will participate in the restitutions of Interceptor performance against a variety of operational scenarios. You will optimize the system's trajectory to fulfill mission objectives, and report on how its design parameters correlate with mission scope and effectiveness. This position offers a unique opportunity to grasp a global vision of Interceptor and to contribute to its enhancements.

First Missions

  • Getting up to speed on our systems performance and on the Salazar framewok (mission simulation tools)
  • Performing mission optimization and restitution over 3 provided defense scenarios
  • Identifying and implementing Salazar framework upgrades

Responsibilities

  • Evolving the Salazar framework, providing an overview of our systems performance and range of addressable missions
  • Analysing and reporting on representative mission scenarios
  • Mapping mission objectives with sub-system requirements, and providing metrics to guide system enhancements
  • Maintaining and improving the mission optimization procedure
  • Building the justifications and documentation for mission authorisation and certifications
  • Supporting the mission operations department in refining the CONOPS and extracting operationnal requirements and procedures
  • Building relationships with the mission stakeholders
  • Collaborating with the risks and quality teams to assess and mitigate mission risks and feared events
  • Contributing to the definition of internal space operations standards, processes, and tools
