From Fivetran’s founding until now, our mission has remained the same: to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With Fivetran, customer data arrives in their warehouses, canonical and ready to query, with no engineering or maintenance required. We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.

About the Role

Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.

We’re looking for a We're looking for a Product Operations Manager to help scale how our Product organization operates. In this role, you'll work across three core pillars—Data & Insights, Technology, and Operations—to design and implement the systems, tools, and processes that enable our product teams to ship high-impact features efficiently. You'll bring strong expertise working across the full product development lifecycle to surface actionable insights, automate workflows, remove friction, drive alignment, and empower teams to do their best work.

This is a full-time position based out of our Oakland or Denver office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.

Technologies You’ll Use

Jira, Google Workspace, Slack, Zendesk, Salesforce, Looker, Sigma, Figma, Slab, Marketo, Gong, Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI-powered productivity tools. Big Query experience is desirable but not required.

What You’ll Do:

Operations
You'll design delivery processes that scale across R&D squads, implementing SLAs, checkpoints, and agile ceremonies that drive visibility and accountability. You'll set up PMs for success with clear, repeatable processes and practices that operationalize optimal PDLC across the product organization. You'll ensure clearly defined roles, responsibilities, and boundaries across product, design, engineering, GTM, and support. You'll coordinate desired outcomes and timelines cross-functionally, removing blockers and reducing risks to help teams launch on time and per scope. You'll design operating systems that evolve with the company's needs, helping each team and team member do their best work with clarity and confidence.

Technology
You'll streamline and automate routine PDLC tasks through digital innovation and AI-powered solutions. You'll design scalable tool setups and lead automation initiatives that replace manual work with smart workflows. You'll build self-service dashboards that give PMs and stakeholders the data they need, when they need it. You'll enforce best practices and guardrails through digital solutions, reducing friction across the product development lifecycle to speed up delivery. You'll leverage AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT to enhance productivity and drive innovation in how the team works.

Data & Insights
You'll build BI dashboards to measure and report product investment ROI and customer value to influence product prioritization and drive cross-functional alignment. You'll transform raw data into actionable insights, stories, and trends that inform strategic decisions and drive informed action. You'll make it easier for PMs to access customer feedback and talk to customers more frequently. You'll democratize access to learning and ensure feature requests are analyzed and actioned efficiently. You'll help close the loop with customers on their feedback, reinforcing that we listen and value their input.

Cross-functional Collaboration, Communication, & Enablement
You'll craft narratives that align cross-functional teams on shared goals, driving planning and alignment forums across multiple R&D squads. You'll ensure stakeholders and executives are informed on the intention, progress, and risks of key initiatives. You'll build open, consistent, bi-directional channels of communication that foster trust, transparency, and energy across the organization. You'll create enablement content and facilitate sessions that help teams understand and adopt new processes, tools, and best practices.

What You'll Bring

Experience & Background
You have 2+ years of experience in product operations, product management, program management, or a related operational role, preferably in B2B SaaS or digital enterprise solutions. You've supported product teams at scale and understand how software gets built and shipped in fast-moving, dynamic environments.

Strategic & Systems Thinking
You build frameworks to measure product investment ROI and customer value. You use data to influence prioritization and drive alignment across teams. You see the bigger picture and understand how individual processes connect to broader organizational goals.

Execution Excellence
You design delivery processes that scale across R&D squads. You implement SLAs, checkpoints, and ceremonies that drive visibility and accountability. You're organized and detail-oriented, ensuring teams stay on track without losing sight of quality or strategic intent.

Technical Mastery
You design scalable tool setups and lead automation initiatives. You're comfortable working alongside engineers and product managers, navigating tools like Jira with ease. You leverage AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT to enhance your productivity and drive innovation. You create policy checks, self-service dashboards, and automated workflows that enable broader adoption across teams.

Communication & Alignment
You craft compelling narratives that align cross-functional teams on shared goals. You drive planning and alignment forums across multiple R&D squads. You adapt your communication style to different audiences, knowing when to send a message versus schedule a meeting, and you keep stakeholders informed without overwhelming them.

Leadership & Mentoring
You coach teammates and build onboarding or enablement content. You reinforce product values through team behaviors and decision-making. You're a role model who helps others succeed and grow.

Key Attributes

  • Biased toward action: You take initiative and don't wait for permission. When you see something that needs doing, you either do it or propose a solution.

  • Curious: You ask good questions and dig into problems systematically. You spot trends, identify bottlenecks, and aren't satisfied until you understand the root cause.

  • Collaborative: You work well with people across different functions. You're a good listener, you follow through on commitments, and you know how to move projects forward even when you're not in charge.

  • Detail-oriented: You appreciate structure and understand how good processes help teams work better together. You can follow existing frameworks while spotting opportunities to make them more efficient.

  • Systems thinker: You see how processes, tools, and people connect. You design solutions that scale and adapt to changing needs, not just quick fixes.
