Position title description

General description:

Helios is seeking a highly motivated Chemist/Materials Engineer to join our product development team. The ideal candidate will have a background in materials science or chemistry and will be responsible for researching fundamental questions related to our technology and developing procedures to enhance our product offerings. This position requires 1-3 years of relevant industrial experience, strong analytical skills, and a passion for innovation and problem-solving in the fields of chemistry and materials science.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing chemical processes and research the associated reactions to enhance the performance and efficiency of different aspects of the Helios technology.
  • Conducting experiments and working with state-of-the-art equipment and experimental systems.
  • Presenting results to the R&D team/management and recommending courses of action
  • Preparing technical reports and documentation.
  • Assemble, maintain, and troubleshoot mechanical systems and experimental setups.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams – development implementation, engineering prototypes.
  • Materials analysis and characterization using various techniques, including: XRD, XRF, SEM and ICP.

Requirements:

  • MSc degree in Chemistry or Chemical/Materials Engineering (BSc only with minimum 4 years industrial experience)
  • For MSc degree: 3 years’ hands-on experience in an industrial chemical setting (advantage)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare technical reports and documentation
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and safety mindset oriented
  • Experience working with alkaline metals (advantage)
  • On-site position at Helios HQ in Petah Tikva
