- Your phone traveled 7,000 miles from Shenzhen. That Italian jacket arrived in 5 days. Behind it all: freight forwarders coordinating ships, customs, warehouses, and trucks across continents still running on emails, spreadsheets, and software from 1998.
- We're building AI agents to change this. Agents that call, email, log into systems, process documents—handling entire workflows autonomously.

We need someone to help us build this company, not just recruit for it.
Look, hiring at this stage isn't about posting jobs and screening resumes. It's about finding the 15-20 people who will literally shape what Sidecar becomes. The engineer who builds our core architecture. The person who sets our quality bar. The early believers who create the culture everyone else walks into.
These hires matter more than anything else we'll do this year. And we need someone who gets that.
What you'll work on:
- Technical and non-technical recruiting - source, screen, and close exceptional backend engineers, AI/ML engineers, systems architects, and talent across business functions
- Talent pipeline development - identify unconventional talent sources beyond traditional job boards (GitHub, university placement records, open-source communities, competitive programming platforms, niche forums)
- Hiring infrastructure & candidate experience - build scalable recruiting processes, interview frameworks, and evaluation systems while owning the end-to-end candidate journey with speed, clarity, and professionalism
- Team operations & culture - establish early-stage HR foundations including onboarding, compliance, compensation frameworks, policies, and culture-building
Qualifications & Experience:
- 1-2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in high-growth startups or fast-paced environments
- Proven track record of closing difficult-to-find technical roles
- Ability to operate with startup velocity, closing candidates in days not weeks
- Strong communication skills to write compelling outreach, conduct insightful interviews, and build genuine relationships with candidates
- Sound judgment to assess cultural fit, work ethic, and raw potential beyond résumé credentials
- Data-driven approach to track metrics, optimize conversion funnels, and continuously improve recruiting effectiveness
- Operational rigor to build systems and processes that scale, not one-off solutions
Preferred Skills:
- Experience recruiting for early-stage startups (Series A or earlier)
- Background in technical recruiting for backend engineering, AI/ML, or infrastructure roles
- Familiarity with ATS systems, recruiting tools, and modern sourcing techniques
- Experience building HR operations from the ground up
- Network in the AI/engineering community
