Who we are

Neros is a defense technology company rebuilding America’s drone industrial base. We design and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are tested in combat, iterated at startup speed, and built at massive scale. Our team culture is fast, hands-on, and obsessed with closing the gap between design and deployment.

As drones transform the character of warfare, Neros is delivering the systems the West needs to compete on the modern battlefield and deter the adversaries of democracy. We’re hiring engineers, operators, and builders who want to move fast, take on extreme ownership, and get capability into the hands of warfighters in months, not years.

You’ll work closely with FPV Specialists and engineers to ensure that all equipment is prepared, tests are thoroughly documented, and act as Visual Observer in flight tests.

The ideal candidate has strong FPV drone background, comfortable building a variety of drone sizes, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for UAV technology. This role plays a large part in advancing product reliability, streamlining flight test operations, and maintaining the performance of our drone fleet and equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Track and organize R&D drones and parts

Flight Operations & Testing

  • Prepare, transport, and help set up drones and equipment for flight tests
  • Assist FPV Specialists during flight testing as visual observer and ground support
  • Record test notes, observations, and flight data
  • Support smooth execution of test campaigns in field environments

You should have the following

  • Strong hands-on FPV drone build experience
  • Knowledge of betaflight and ESC software
  • Skilled in soldering and mechanical assembly
  • Acro FPV drone piloting
  • Strong understanding of UAV components
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to adapt in fast-paced environments and maintain focus under pressure
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to travel when needed

Nice to have

  • Experience building larger size FPV drones (10”, 13”, etc..)
  • FAA Part 107 certification
  • Experience in CAD, drone design, 3d printing
  • PID tuning and Blackbox analysis
  • Expert FPV and LOS acro pilot
