What you will be doing
The Lead Autonomy Engineer will be responsible for the development of an upcoming autonomy-related product. They will directly manage the autonomy software and define hardware requirements for support hardware teams to design to. They will develop terminal guidance, position hold, visual navigation, and swarming capabilities for current and future Neros products.
You should have the following
- Experience leading a team in hardware constrained autonomy, ideally related to small drones or similar fields. Experience contributing to and managing projects with experience in computer vision, robotics, state estimation, and or controls
- Some management experience is required, as you will be leading a small team and and a project
- Experience developing compute limited embedded autonomy software
- Strong experience developing software in C / C++ / Python
- Experience managing and hiring for AI or autonomy roles
Nice to have
- Previous experience working with quadcopters or other aerospace systems
- Knowledge of Betaflight / ExpressLRS / Ardupilot
US Salary Range
$150,000 - $225,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are considered part of Neros' total compensation package.
