Role:

Northwood is seeking a Regulatory Compliance intern to support regulatory and policy work for our global ground network. In this role, you’ll partner closely with legal, engineering, and government affairs to track regulatory developments, prepare briefing materials, and support engagement with government stakeholders. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain exposure to the day-to-day operations of a high-growth space technology company while contributing directly to the work that helps our teams manage risk and execute on our global ground network.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Legal and Regulatory Compliance team with preparing, reviewing, and organizing regulatory submissions, communications, and supporting materials

  • Track and analyze RF spectrum-related regulatory developments and policy issues that impact Northwood

  • Help build, update, and maintain internal regulatory templates, process guides, and policy documents

  • Support the rollout and use of legal and compliance tooling for efficient contract and workflow management

  • Develop internal summaries, reports, and presentation materials for a range of internal and external stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s or graduate level program pursuing a degree in law, public policy, or an engineering discipline.

  • Ability to relocate to Los Angeles, CA for 12-weeks during Summer 2026

  • Ability to work in a professional team environment, including direct communication with engineers, management, technicians, and external companies on behalf of Northwood

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • GPA of 3.5 or above

  • Strong policy research capabilities, with the ability to synthesize complex findings into clear insights and actionable recommendations

  • Highly organized and methodical, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines reliably
