What is Runway?

Runway’s mission is to make business accessible and understandable to everyone.

We believe making business accessible and understandable to everyone helps people make better decisions, helps teams get better aligned, and helps everyone understand the impact of their work.

That’s why we’re building Runway, a next-generation business planning platform that replaces the spreadsheets used to run businesses with a modern, intuitive product. Runway empowers everyone in the company to understand how the business works and enables folks to make better decisions together.

What's it like to work at Runway?

We're remote-first, so you can work from anywhere in the world. We maintain core working hours of 11AM to 4PM PT, when we're all online and available at the same time. We strive to be clear in our communication and over-communicate by default.

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and creative Content Writer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting compelling and engaging content that resonates with our audience and supports our overall marketing and branding efforts. As a Content Writer at Runway, you will have the opportunity to shape our brand voice and narrative, creating content that drives engagement and supports our business objectives.

What will you be doing?

  • Write, edit, and produce various types of content, including blog posts, customer stories, website copy, help center articles, and more

  • Develop and execute a content strategy that aligns with our upcoming marketing goals and brand identity

  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to create content that effectively communicates our value proposition and drives engagement with our target audience

  • Conduct research to ensure content is informative, accurate, and up-to-date with industry trends and customer needs

  • Measure and analyze content performance to continuously improve content strategy and execution

  • Audit existing help center articles and content for out-of-date information, broken links, and consistency, ensuring all materials reflect our current product offering

  • Ensure all content is consistent in terms of style, quality, voice and tone

Who are we looking for?

  • A creative and skilled writer with 4+ years of experience in content creation, preferably in a similar industry

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail

  • A passion for storytelling and creating content that resonates with audiences

  • Ability to translate technical or complex ideas into engaging and understandable content

  • Strong research skills and the ability to adapt to different writing styles and tones

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously with a keen attention to detail

  • Experience working with content management systems and an understanding of SEO best practices
