At Serve Robotics, we’re reimagining how things move in cities. Our personable sidewalk robot is our vision for the future. It’s designed to take deliveries away from congested streets, make deliveries available to more people, and benefit local businesses.
The Serve fleet has been delighting merchants, customers, and pedestrians along the way in Los Angeles while doing commercial deliveries. We’re looking for talented individuals who will grow robotic deliveries from surprising novelty to efficient ubiquity.
Who We Are
We are tech industry veterans in software, hardware, and design who are pooling our skills to build the future we want to live in. We are solving real-world problems leveraging robotics, machine learning and computer vision, among other disciplines, with a mindful eye towards the end-to-end user experience. Our team is agile, diverse, and driven. We believe that the best way to solve complicated dynamic problems is collaboratively and respectfully.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Infrastructure & Developer Productivity team, you will design and maintain the systems that enable Serve’s engineers to build, test, and ship robotics software faster and more reliably. You will own release management tooling, CI/CD orchestration, and automated KPI dashboards, while also building end-to-end data pipelines that power QA metrics, mapping, and machine learning. A core part of your role will be evaluating and integrating GenAI tools to accelerate developer productivity across the organization.
This is a cross-functional role at the intersection of infrastructure, developer tools, and data engineering, giving you direct impact on the speed, quality, and reliability of our autonomous robot fleet.
Reponsibilities
Design and maintain release management and CI/CD orchestration tooling to streamline delivery pipelines.
Build automated KPI dashboards and regression benchmarks to monitor engineering and system performance.
Develop internal developer productivity tools that improve setup, testing, and collaboration.
Vet, integrate, and scale GenAI-powered tools to improve developer experience and automation.
Collaborate with other engineering teams to reduce manual toil and adopt infrastructure best practices.
Design, build, and own the infrastructure that enables high-velocity software delivery.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in software infrastructure, developer productivity, or DevOps engineering.
Strong programming skills in Python and at least one systems-level language (C++, Rust, etc.).
Expertise in CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Argo, or similar) and build systems (Bazel strongly preferred).
Proficiency with cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred) for scaling builds, tests, and data pipelines.
Familiarity with metrics & monitoring systems (Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalent).
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
What Makes you Stand Out
Experience in embedded software development or infrastructure (Robotics, IoT, etc)
Hands-on experience with GenAI tools (LLM-based coding assistants, workflow automation, or productivity enhancements).
Familiarity with robotics workflows such as simulation frameworks, QA automation, or mapping pipelines.
Background in release engineering and developer onboarding tooling.
Experience with implementing and maintaining observability tools (Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry) to provide end-to-end visibility, actionable insights, and proactive monitoring across distributed systems.
Compensation Range: $150K - $200K
