JOB OVERVIEW
Serve Robotics is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to implement, and maintain our critical IT infrastructure. You'll serve as the technical escalation point for complex systems issues while designing and deploying enterprise-level solutions that support our growing robotics operations. This role features a mix of advanced troubleshooting, escalations, strategic infrastructure projects, automation, and systems architecture. You'll ensure our IT infrastructure scales securely and reliably to support both corporate operations and robot delivery services. This position reports to the IT Manager.
JOB DUTIES
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure including NAS servers, networks, IT cloud platforms, and security systems.
Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues that require advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Implement and maintain identity management systems, SSO solutions, and directory services.
Develop no-code automation solutions to streamline operations and reduce manual tasks.
Lead major IT projects including system migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and security implementations.
Design and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for critical IT systems.
Collaborate with security teams to implement advanced cybersecurity measures, compliance frameworks, and threat detection.
Monitor system performance, capacity planning, and proactively address potential issues before they impact operations.
Mentor junior IT staff and provide technical guidance on complex implementations.
Support both corporate IT infrastructure and specialized systems required for autonomous robot operations.
Document architectural decisions, system configurations, and operational procedures.
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, & SKILLS
5+ years of experience in IT Systems Administration, IT Infrastructure Engineering, or DevOps roles.
Expert-level troubleshooting knowledge of Windows, Linux distributions, and macOs.
Working knowledge of networking protocols, VPNs, firewalls, and network security.
Deep experience with enterprise identity management, SSO implementations, and directory services.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
Experience in a startup like environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant certifications (CISSP, MCSE, Okta Certified, Apple ACMT, etc).
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash) and automation tools.
Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Background in high-availability system design and scalable architecture.
Experience or personal interest in robotics, IoT, or edge computing environments.
Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001, GDPR, CCPA, NIST 63-B).
