SUPERVISOR, DELIVERY SYSTEMS (STARLINK)

Supply Chain is vital to the build of SpaceX's Starlink Satellite constellation. This role will involve the supervision of a team of hourly employees operating within SpaceX’s materials management organization. The team is responsible for all activities from the point that hardware is deemed acceptable from our quality inspections to the moment hardware is handed off to the production organization. Our goal is to become a leader in materials management performance with high inventory efficiency/accuracy and industry leading customer service while maintaining a safe work environment that utilizes the latest in applicable technologies. This supervisor will also be responsible for leading and driving continuous improvement throughout all aspects of their operations.

We are seeking a highly motivated Supervisor to lead our delivery systems team in Woodinville, Washington. This role ensures that boxes, parcels, pallets, and sub-assemblies are efficiently routed between buildings to support production demands. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining on-time delivery (OTD), tracking key performance metrics, and collaborating across departments to optimize workflow.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage the material handling team across first and second shifts.
  • Ensure timely movement of all materials, including boxes, parcels, pallets, and sub-assemblies, between buildings.
  • Monitor and enforce on-time delivery (OTD) performance while maintaining key logistics metrics.
  • Work closely with other managers and departments to support production and operational needs.
  • Optimize routing and handling processes to improve efficiency and reduce delays.
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols for material handling operations.
  • Train and mentor team members to enhance performance, accountability, and growth.
  • Oversee inventory control and documentation for accurate material tracking.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve logistics bottlenecks or process inefficiencies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workflow, efficiency, and team collaboration
  • Work with the CDL driving team in staging products, including proper hazmat staging, in accordance with WSDOT and FMCSA standards

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of professional experience in materials management, supply chain, or production/manufacturing; OR 4+ years of professional experience in materials management, supply chain, or production/manufacturing
  • 1+ years of experience leading a team or project
  • Possession of a valid CDL-A license or the ability to obtain one

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of leadership experience within materials management
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, science, engineering, or similar technical discipline
  • Completion of a leadership or rotational development program
  • Certification from the Association for Supply Chain Management – CPIM or CSCP
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills
  • Organized and self-driven, capable of working independently with little direction
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced /cross-functional environment
  • Experience within an aerospace, aviation, or automotive manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with material requirements planning (MRP) systems
  • Proficient with computers, the ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), shop floor management software (ERP), and related programs

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be available to work extended hours and weekends when necessary; flexibility required. This role will be covering 1st shift:
    • Monday – Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm
  • Lifting up to 25 lbs. (unassisted), standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing stooping, stretching and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:

Supervisor, Delivery Systems/Supervisor: $95,000.00 - $135,000.00/per year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
