Department

Operations

We’re looking for an early-career Financial Operations Associate to help us build and scale the financial backbone of our business. This role sits at the intersection of Finance and Operations - with responsibility for payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and the analytics that inform critical business decisions.

You’ll own execution on day-to-day processes while also shaping how our financial operations evolve as we scale. This is an opportunity for someone with strong analytical chops and a bias toward action who’s ready to grow into a strategic operator. Someone who wants to become a COO/ CFO someday.

What You’ll Do

  • Build the Finance Machine

    • Run payroll processes end-to-end, including contractor and FTE payments.

    • Work with tools like Deel to simplify and streamline payroll for both domestic and international teams.

    • Manage and improve AP/AR processes for a B2C/ B2B environment.

    • Identify inefficiencies and implement better systems to ensure timely payments and collections.

  • Provide Strategic Direction to Growth, Operations, and Engineering

    • Partner with executives on building out financial operations functions.

    • Contribute to financial planning, forecasting, and scenario modeling.

    • Bring a business-minded lens to financial data — ensuring decisions tie back to growth and sustainability.

  • Drive Financial Analytics & Reporting

    • Analyze data on cost of labor, COGS, and other key financial drivers.

    • Provide insights that inform operational and strategic decision-making.

    • Partner with executives to prepare board and investor information

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–7 years of professional experience in financial operations, accounting, or related roles.

  • You’re incredibly structured and organized, you love MECE frameworks

  • You like executing and getting your hands dirty (instead of spending 3 weeks “ideating”)

  • Strong analytical and data skills; comfortable working with financial models and reporting.

  • Demonstrated ability to execute quickly and accurately while improving processes.

  • Business acumen and interest in scaling startups.

  • Strong stakeholder management

  • Bonus: familiarity with workforce/payroll tools (Rippling, Workday, Deel, etc).

  • Bonus: experience with AP/AR, payroll, and contractor/FTE management.

  • Bonus: experience with financial planning or FP&A.

Why Join Us

  • Be part of a small, high-impact team where your work directly shapes the company’s growth.

  • Gain exposure to both operational execution and strategic finance.

  • Work alongside executives and founders, with mentorship and growth opportunities into senior finance/ops roles.

Investors

  • Forerunner Ventures (tier 1 US-based VC)

  • Susa Ventures (tier 1 US-based VC)

  • Cyan Bannister (first investor into Uber, early at SpaceX, former part at Founder’s Fund, regarded as one of the top angels in the world)

  • Balaji Srinivasan (ex-Coinbase CTO and angel, ex-General Partner at a16z)

  • Arielle Zuckerberg (active angel, tech leader, relatively famous brother)

  • Long Journey Ventures (investor in Uber, Notion, Loom, Affirm etc.)

  • Shaan Puri (angel and podcast host of my first million)

  • Cameron & Tyler Winklevoss

  • Evan Moore (Founder of Doorash; Partner at Khosla Ventures)

  • Justin Mares (Founder of TrueMed)

  • Dr Jordan Shlain (Founder of Private Medical, America's top concierge medicine service)

  • The world’s biggest company will be in consumer healthcare

  • Solving longevity – the most important problem of our time

  • A mayo clinic executive program 2.0 in the cloud

  • We aim to set the gold standard for team health culture on the planet - live the ethos!
