Senior Product Engineer, Volteras
Product
Posted on Jun 27, 2026
Who you are
- A full stack engineer, comfortable across the entire stack but with a natural lean toward frontend
- Someone who goes beyond pure engineering — you take ownership of product decisions, work closely with the Head of Product to prioritise and scope work, and care about what you're building and why
- Confident leading a small squad of software engineers — you can translate product priorities into well-scoped work, support the engineers around you, and keep delivery moving without becoming a bottleneck
- Experienced managing end-to-end delivery of complex software features, from scoping through to shipping
- Opinionated about product quality — you push back on scope when needed, flag UX issues early and advocate for the end user
- Confident working with databases, data modelling, and cloud environments (AWS)
- Familiar with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Datadog)
Desirable
- Relevant experience in renewable energy/ electric vehicles (EV)
What the job involves
- You will play a central role in shaping, scoping and building products at Volteras — an API platform connecting fleet operators, utilities and insurers to real-time electric vehicle data, scaling globally in a fast-moving market
- As a Senior Product Engineer you will report directly to the Head of Product and VP Engineering, sitting at the intersection of product and engineering — owning priorities, leading delivery, and writing code
- You will lead a small squad of software engineers through structured delivery cycles, translating product priorities into well-scoped work and seeing features through from brief to production
- The role is full stack in practice, with a frontend lean — you'll be building and owning features across the stack, working primarily in modern web technologies alongside cloud infrastructure (AWS)
- You will work closely with the Head of Product to define and prioritise the roadmap, acting as the connective tissue between product thinking and engineering execution
- The ideal candidate enjoys both building and leading — someone who is equally energised by writing clean, well-tested code and by making good product decisions
