Senior Product Engineer at Volteras — sit at the intersection of product and engineering, leading a small squad while building across the full stack. Remote from the UK. You will play a central role in shaping, scoping, and building products at Volteras — an API platform connecting customers to real-time electric vehicle data, scaling globally in a fast-moving market.As a Senior Product Engineer you will report directly to the Head of Product, sitting at the intersection of product and engineering — owning priorities, leading delivery, and writing code. You will lead a small squad of software engineers through structured delivery cycles, translating product priorities into well-scoped work and seeing features through from brief to production.The role is full stack in practice, with a frontend lean — building and owning features across the stack, working primarily in modern web technologies alongside cloud infrastructure on AWS. The ideal candidate enjoys both building and leading: equally energised by writing clean, well-tested code and by making good product decisions. Responsibilities:Lead a small squad of software engineers through structured delivery cycles, translating product priorities into well-scoped workOwn features end-to-end — from scoping and brief through to shipping in productionWork closely with the Head of Product to define and prioritise the roadmap, acting as the connective tissue between product thinking and engineering executionBuild and maintain features across the full stack, with a frontend lean, using modern web technologies and AWSPush back on scope when needed, flag UX issues early, and advocate for the end userKeep delivery moving without becoming a bottleneck — supporting the engineers around you while staying hands-on in the code Requirements:Full stack engineering experience, comfortable across the entire stack with a natural lean toward frontendConfident leading a small squad — translating product priorities into well-scoped engineering workExperienced managing end-to-end delivery of complex software features, from scoping to shippingOpinionated about product quality — you go beyond pure engineering and take ownership of product decisionsConfident working with databases, data modelling, and cloud environments (AWS)Familiar with monitoring and observability tools such as DatadogExperience with React, TypeScript, Python, Next.js, Docker, and Git
