Aerospace Warehouse and Inventory Manager

Location: Roswell, GA

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Salary Range: $110,000 – $120,000 annually

Position Overview

The Warehouse & Inventory Manager oversees all warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, material flow, and logistics activities that support the manufacturing, repair, and service of gas turbine engines and related components. The role ensures that parts are received, inspected, stored, and delivered with efficiency, accuracy, and full compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace supply chain environments, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the requirements associated with high‑value, serialized turbine components.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations Management

  • Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, put‑away, picking, packing, kitting, staging, and shipping of turbine components and consumables.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of high‑value and sensitive parts such as blades, rotors, castings, and combustor hardware.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse environment following OSHA, ISO, and internal safety standards.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse processes.

Inventory Control & Material Management

  • Implement and manage inventory control systems to ensure 99%+ accuracy of stock levels, lot numbers, serial numbers, and shelf‑life–controlled materials.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
  • Monitor and manage min/max levels, reorder points, and safety stock to support production operations.
  • Coordinate with procurement and planning teams to optimize material availability and reduce excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Ensure proper documentation and traceability for turbine components in accordance with QA/QC requirements.

Logistics & Shipping

  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including domestic and international shipments.
  • Coordinate with freight carriers, customs brokers, and logistics partners to ensure timely and compliant movement of materials.
  • Ensure all parts are packaged according to engineering, OEM, or customer specifications to prevent damage.

Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse staff while influencing surrounding departments on processes and procedures.
  • Partner with production, planning, engineering, and quality teams to ensure material availability and accuracy.
  • Support rapid‑response requirements for outages, emergencies, and quarantines.

Systems & Reporting

  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems (QAD, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) to manage inventory transactions and material flow.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reports for inventory accuracy, cycle counts, warehouse efficiency, and cost‑reduction initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts using Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse, inventory, or supply chain management within industrial, aerospace, power generation, or similar manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control systems, material traceability, and documentation requirements.
  • Experience handling serialized, high‑value components.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (QAD, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Preferred

  • Experience with gas turbines, turbomachinery, or rotating equipment.
  • Certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of import/export regulations (ITAR, EAR, customs documentation).
  • Experience with inventory vertical lift systems.

Requirements & Work Environment

  • Due to the nature of the work involving controlled components, this position is limited to U.S. citizens under applicable federal regulations.
  • Up to 10% international travel may be required in the first year.
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing facility with exposure to mechanical equipment and noise; PPE is required.
  • The role may involve standing, walking, lifting, and other physically demanding tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
