As a Landscape Design & Sales Consultant, you’ll oversee the full design and sales journey from initial consultation through proposal presentation crafting thoughtful, buildable designs that support installation and maintenance services throughout the La Crosse and Winona areas. This position blends artistic design work with rewarding client engagement, all within a supportive environment that values craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site consultations, evaluate residential and commercial properties, and produce professional landscape designs and proposals using design software
  • Present design concepts to clients using persuasive, story-driven communication that leads to signed contracts
  • Manage design revisions and guide clients through the approval process to meet expectations and deadlines
  • Partner with fellow Client Guides and the Landscape Operations Manager to ensure designs are both buildable and financially sound
  • Explore and integrate AI tools into the sales and design workflow
  • Generate new leads through networking, referrals, and proactive promotion of complementary services such as maintenance, fencing, decking, and irrigation
  • Maintain organized and accurate documentation in company systems and provide detailed handoffs to installation teams

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in residential and/or commercial landscape design and sales with a proven ability to close projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related field preferred but not required
  • Proficiency with landscape design software
  • Strong knowledge of landscape installation practices, plant materials, hardscaping, and maintenance fundamentals
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to influence client decision-making
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Valid driver’s license
